This is where it all started. What began as an idea grew into an offering of over 450 gift cards and gift packages for consumers and businesses.
Active in Belgium since 2018, now offering more than 125 gift cards and gift packages for personal and corporate use.

Poland marked our entry into Eastern Europe in 2024. Today, we offer more than 100 gift cards for consumers and businesses.

Norway joined in 2025. Today, more than 100 gift cards are available for consumers and business customers.

Back in 2008
The best ideas are born in a bar, right? And it was here that two friends came up with the idea in 2008. The gift card market was just going through the transition from vouchers to plastic gift cards. So, there were opportunities for new concepts, and that is how Jewelcard came about. A gift card redeemable at various jewellery shops in the Netherlands. The first gift card concept was born!
2016
It is now 2016. Several gift card concepts have since been introduced to the market and sold at major retailers in the Netherlands. So it is time... for a dedicated platform! Cadeaubon.nl was born.
2018
The first international step is taken with the launch of Cadeaubon.be in Belgium.
2021
Acceleration of international growth. The first global product, Hotelgiftcard, is introduced, and the UK platform, giftcards.co.uk, is launched.
2024
A phase of rapid expansion begins with the rollout of eight new platforms across Germany, Italy, Ireland, Austria and France.
2025
Beyond Europe. Thirteen new countries join the group, including Canada, Norway, Denmark, Mexico and Australia.
2026
Today giftcards.group operates multiple platforms in 21 countries and offers its own portfolio of gift card brands alongside hundreds of partner cards. All created to help people celebrate life’s special moments.
